Seeing as the current map drawn up and the map that seems to be in play differ from thread to thread, and my nit-picking architect senses (inherited from my CAD designer father) are flaring red alerts every which way, I've going to be sketching up a rough diagram of the base blueprints for the board to look over and suggest further improvements and streamlining.
LOGICAL PROGRESSION AND BUILDING INTEGRITY WILL BE UTILIZED!!!

Notes of changes I will be making:
+All exercise equipment and related gear will be moved downstairs so people won't be crashing through the floor every 5 minutes (these are old buildings and Riley managed to smash through once, we don't need it happening again)
+The shooting range will be moved outside to where it's safer, with targets and equipment kept in a storage unit
+Infirmary/Medbay/Laboratory - All medical related facilities, why are they separated?
+Showers/Barracks/Common Room/Kitchen/Dining Room - All necessary living facilities will be centralized and given the lion's share of space, as they are the most used and most needed
+Resupply/Respawn - Closest to battlefield and to the Infirmary
+Other, more specialized rooms will be placed where they fit best
+Popped up often enough in RP to mention; Infirmary is separated into a main room, the tank area, and a back office so far. This will be marked on the map.
+Also, there's a special Leader's room...?
+There is mention of a bridge crossing between the two bases, this will be included
+Docks are central, as are Battlements (Battlements bordering bridge?)
+Will also need to include surrounding area

Backup Generators are on the Second Floor.
WHY ARE THEY ON THE SECOND FLOOR?!!
Generators are heavy and need to be grounded, why would they be that far up in the air!?
AAAAAAAAUGH, SO MANY ACCIDENTS JUST WAITING TO HAPPEN! D8

My concern is whether or not you've talked to the admins about overhauling the layout. The Announcer drew up the blueprints and you'll have to take it up with him to edit them. Also, we've threads running through those areas and to mess around with the location of everything now seems... a bit too late.

I know we discussed this, and I understand some logical fallacies.

However, I don't think Announcer/RED/BLU care very much about their mercenaries. Their comfort, safety, or otherwise.

I did speak with the Administrator over Steam yesterday and asked if I could submit a new layout.
And it's really not about comfort but more about building code and the structures we're dealing with out here at Swamp Rat.
Riley already fell through the floor at the RED base, so we KNOW these things are old and unstable.
Anything heavy HAS to be on the bottom floor, and a shooting range inside with a bunch of mercenaries is just plain unsafe (the locals would complain if nothing else).
I've drawn up a new, somewhat rough blueprint, and I'll be scanning and posting it shortly.
If it gets approved, I'll be attempting to get it mocked up in Google Sketch Up as a 3D model.

I might be able to help with the modeling part.
Because, well, I can model. Been learnin' how with Light Wave. I don't think I'm half-bad, but because I'm still in school anything I did for this would be rough and not all that pretty looking. Functional and accurate, at least.

There's a large gap on the second floor I'm not quite sure what to do with, but it would make for a fine balcony if folks can't think of anything needed to fill in.

Also, I'll be drawing up an area map as well in no one has any screenshots of the actual In Game map (since I haven't seen the dang place), including the battlefield and battlements, the docks and the train tracks, and the surrounding swamp out to the Respawn limits.

Well, I downloaded the map (thanks so much for finding it Eugene! :D) so I'll be looking it over and snapping a few screenshots of my own to post up and use for reference in creating a definitive map.
This project got a bit out of hand... ^^;
