Ignis Solis (Open)

The swamp that is a fixture surrounding the battlefield. The swamp, like most, is quite full of trees, moss, and most notably leeches. There are some strange things that pop out of the waters; are you willing to brave into them?

nobody can they're actually a myth

What the fuck was all that? James did his best to follow along, and he couldn't help but get a little lost in the flurry of instructions Feng gave him. At least he was given the pre-folded bit of paper, maybe he could work off that...?

For several awkward moments, the salamander attempted to follow the BLU's instruction, forced to work slowly by the cumbersome gloves. He managed to make something that looked like a paper airplane...if it was constructed by a maniac. It did have a degree of functionality: it flew when he gave it a gentle toss. Unfortunately instead of nose-diving into the dirt, his sad attempt at a paper airplane decided it was sick of this world and plummetted immediately into the flames.

Maybe it was the rediculous amount of pain-killers currently swimming around his circulatory system but he decided that was the the funniest shit he had seen all day.

Jericho inched slowly closer as the lady Pyro went through her instructions, ears pricked as far forward as they could go. He hadn't the manual dexterity to make one of the little paper things himself, but it was really neat to watch, seeing a little bit of paper turn into something that could fly, if only for a little while.
By the time it was James' turn to try copying the trick, the chimera had wriggled himself so close he could have nipped the lady Pyro's knee if he'd wanted, pupils blown wide with utter fascination.
He liked the little folded things-!

Though she was feeling a bit apprehensive at the gradual approach of the patchwork creature, Lan Feng became distracted with James' progress, watching. When he finally finished, she had to suppress a giggle. It vaguely resembled a plane, she supposed, but did it even have the ability to become airborne?

Much to her surprise, it did, if for a brief moment. And when the craft suddenly dropped into the flames and James burst out laughing, she did as well, so much so that she nearly fell backwards. When she finally did regain her composure, she nearly froze up at how close dog-man-thing was. Maybe it was the levity of the situation, but she did manage to remain calm, though she edged away ever so slightly.

She quickly turned her focus to James, who still seemed to be enjoying herself. Almost instantly her spirits were lifted. She reached for the book again, tearing out two pages instead and handing one to her giggly companion. "Sorry, was my explanation bad?" She turned toward him and held up her own paper. "Do it with me instead," she said as she made the first few folds slowly.

"Hrrrr...nuh nuh, uh jhust shuk..." the last of the scabby arsonist's snickering came to an end as he accepted the fresh sheet. Okay, this one would be for real. No fucking around.

James followed her example as closely as he could with the gloves on (to say nothing of the drugs rampaging through his veins). It would still be a clumsier interpretation then hers, but it might just work. "Hhr..." he held the half-formed plane between his hands. "Ths gud?"

Jericho watched quietly as the Pyros crafted together, head resting on his folded arms as the tip of his tail wagged and his eyes drooped, relaxing in the combination of friendly atmosphere and nice warm fire. He really did like Pyros quite a lot, so kind of them to all know how to make things warm and toasty and nice...
A soft, droning snore would alert the two fire starters that their third party member was fast asleep, slumped slightly to one side as he dozed in the heat.

"Yes, like that." This method of instruction seemed to be working much better. Before too long they both had their own paper plane. Though James' wasn't quite as well made as hers, it was much better crafted than it had been before. Lan Feng gave her companion a smile. "That looks much better."

She gave a slightly confused glance toward the now sleeping dog-man-thing. It looked happy, at the very least, though its presence still made her uncomfortable. At least it wasn't angry. She unconsciously edged ever more closely towards James, turning her attention away from it.

"We'll throw them together. On three. One, two, three." And the planes were let into the air with a light toss.

The scabby arsonist let his paper plane fly with a flick of the wrist. This one had a longer maiden voyage then its doomed prototype, staying airborne and out of the flames. He gave a positive sounding grunt, nodding his head at their progress.

He couldn't help but notice that Jericho had fallen asleep. Christ, it all seemed so normal. Just two folks enjoying a fire and killing time, with a dog at their feet. Of course, that was grossly simplifying the situation, but considering the events of the past few weeks it was a cozy scene in comparison.

The RED Pyro stood up, waddling over to where his plane had fallen. "Mmhm."
